After starting to fly the San José-Caracas-San José route on December 16, Avianca announced on Tuesday the launch of the Bogotá-Caracas-Bogotá route, which will start operating again on February 1, 2024.
There will be four weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) operated on Airbus A320 family aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers and in total the company will have an offer of more than 1,400 seats per week with a flexible and tailor-made product that adapts to the needs of each trip.

Flights will depart Bogota at 11:59 a.m., arriving in Caracas at 3:00 p.m. (local time). From Maiquetia Airport they will take off at 16:33, landing in the Colombian capital at 17:30 (local time).
“We are very happy to once again connect Bogotá and all corners of Colombia with Venezuela; and at the same time, provide our customers with more and better opportunities to connect from Caracas with a network of 60 destinations in 23 countries. We have been operating this route uninterruptedly for more than 60 years and we are proud to be back with four weekly flights, which we hope to increase in the near future. We will continue to work together with the Venezuelan and Colombian authorities to make this route a success,” said Carolina Cortés, Avianca’s Vice President of Corporate Communications.
