Argentina’s Flybondi introduced this Wednesday a unique functionality in the travel industry: for the first time in history, all its domestic tickets can be resold among passengers. The airline announces the new resale benefit of its Ticket 3.0, which adds to the attributes of renaming, transferring and gifting, transforming tickets into assets that the user can manage easily, securely and with total autonomy.

Together with TravelX, a company that provides technological solutions to improve the passenger experience and create new revenue opportunities for airlines, they developed the world’s first marketplace where users can buy and/or sell their airline tickets.

Ticket 3.0 allows users to purchase their tickets without having to define their travel plans or who will be traveling, and even sell them in case they do not use them, and will be available for all domestic routes operated by the airline.

Flybondi announces flights between Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata starting in January

“Offering our passengers this unique possibility worldwide, the possibility of being able to resell their tickets, reaffirms Flybondi’s innovative DNA. We have been working hard so that users have the power of their tickets so they can do with them what they want: give them away, change the ownership, transfer them and now also resell them,” said Federico Pastori, Chief Commercial Officer of Flybondi and added: “the ticket is 100% of the passengers and all the benefits that Ticket 3.0 has is ultimately to give them even more freedom to fly and do with them what they want”.

How does Ticket 3.0 resale work?

How to manage it? To give away, transfer, rename or resell tickets, you must access your Ticket 3.0 user where all the tickets that the traveler owns are located.

Entry to the marketplace: The resale of tickets is done on a specially created platform. There you can find the tickets published by other travelers: https://ticket3puntocero.flybondi.com/reventa

How to buy resale tickets: Buyers will be able to access the platform and search for available tickets. In case they want to proceed with the purchase of any of them, they will have to create a Ticket 3.0 user.

How to resell them: Users who want to offer their tickets for sale must do so from their Ticket 3.0 user, where the “Resell” option is available.

Select base price for the sale: There is no maximum value, the owner of the ticket can set any price he/she wishes, as long as it is at least the amount at which the ticket was originally purchased.

What happens if nobody buys the ticket: Taking into account that the ticket can be re-sold up to 48 hours before the flight departure, in case nobody has bought it, the reseller can perform the same operations as with any other ticket of the company: travel, transfer it, rename it or change the date. If the date is changed, the ticket can be reissued for sale.
