Avianca launches new routes to Buenos Aires, Santiago and Lima from Medellín
Avianca announced on Monday the launch of three new international routes that will connect Medellin (Colombia) with the capitals of Argentina, Chile and Peru, thus strengthening its operations to and from the department of Antioquia.
The Medellín-Lima route will start on June 1 with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), the Medellín-Santiago route will start on June 2 with four flights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), and the Medellín-Buenos Aires route will start on June 15 with daily flights.

The three routes will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers.
“After decades of operating in Medellin, we continue to bet on the connectivity of the region, this time with three new direct international routes that will connect more paisas with South America and at the same time allow more tourists to have new options to fly to Medellin and all of Antioquia,” said David Aleman, Avianca’s sales director for Colombia and South America.
With these three new services, there are now more than 20 routes connecting the capital of Antioquia directly with 26 domestic and international destinations, including Aruba, Cancun, New York, Madrid, Mexico City, Miami, among others.
