JetSMART inaugurated this Tuesday its direct flights between Lima and Guayaquil. With this new addition, the airline expands its network to eight international routes from Peru, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy, regional connectivity and reaffirming its commitment to offer quality travel options in South America.
This new destination follows the successful launch of operations to Quito last month, and becomes the second route operated by JetSMART between Peru and Ecuador.
The route will operate three flights per week on Airbus A320neo aircraft, with capacity for 186 passengers, and expects to carry more than 4,100 passengers per month.

“The start of this new route to Guayaquil is an important milestone for JetSMART in Peru. For this year, our goal is to consolidate our presence in Peru, strengthening our domestic routes with more frequencies and expanding our network of connections in South America. As a leader in growth in the region, we have a total of 78 routes, establishing us as the low-cost airline with the largest network in South America,” said Francesca Luna, General Manager of JetSMART in Peru.
It should be noted that connections from Guayaquil to Cusco and Arequipa in Peru and to Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires are also being enabled, in all these cases via Lima and in both directions. This will generate a greater flow to the interior of the country, as well as greater connectivity within South America.
