Sky Airline received on Tuesday the permits to operate domestic flights in Ecuador, offering passenger, cargo and mail services, according to the Minister of Public Works, Roberto Luque.
In the application submitted by the airline, it is foreseen that in a first phase it will operate the following routes: Quito-Guayaquil; Quito-Guayaquil-Galapagos; Quito-Manta; Quito-Cuenca. The second phase would cover the Quito-Loja and Quito-Santa Rosa routes.

“With this, Ecuadorians will benefit from new routes and frequencies by the end of 2024,” Luque wrote in a message posted on X (former twitter).
The Chile-based airline currently has a fleet of 31 aircraft: 25 Airbus A320neo and six Airbus A321neo.
