Copa Airlines said this Wednesday that as of today, a new process of departures, arrivals and connections at Tocumen International Airport in Terminal 2 (T2) for passengers with flights to or from David, Chiriqui, has begun.
New boarding process:
To ensure a fast and efficient boarding process, Copa set up three dedicated counters on the second level of the T2 departures area, located in front of gate P19. At these counters, passengers traveling to David will be able to check in and register their baggage. Once they have completed check-in, they should proceed to the designated hallway located on the same level to access the security checkpoint and boarding lounge for domestic flights.
New disembarkation process:
Passengers arriving from the city of David, Chiriqui, will disembark in the domestic flights area and must follow the signs to the exit.

For those traveling with checked baggage, follow the signs and take the escalators or the elevators to the first level of Terminal 2 and go to the dedicated baggage claim hall for domestic flights.
New connection process for international flights:
Passengers arriving on international flights operated by Copa Airlines, and heading to David, once they land and complete their immigration process at T2, must go to level 2 of this same terminal, to enter the connecting hallway to the boarding area for domestic flights.
Those whose connection is not with Copa Airlines and are traveling with hold baggage should pick up their bags at the corresponding terminal, according to the airline, and proceed to level 2 of T2 to check in at the Copa Airlines counters and proceed to board their domestic flight.
Passengers arriving from David who have an international connection with Copa Airlines, once they disembark must follow the hallway to the exit and proceed to the immigration and security checkpoint at T2 to board their international flight.
If you are traveling with checked baggage and have a connection that is not with Copa Airlines, you should look for it in the exclusive baggage claim lounge for domestic flights, and then locate the airline counters of your next flight.
