Viva Aerobus inaugurated on Monday two new routes from Monterrey: Miami and Oakland (California). These destinations are part of the expansion strategy in the United States that the airline has been carrying out during 2024, previously opening routes from the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon to Austin, Denver and Orlando.
The Monterrey-Miami route will operate three weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and the Monterrey-Oakland route will operate two flights per week (Monday and Friday).

“We are excited to begin operations on these new services that will connect Monterrey, Viva’s home, with Miami and Oakland. These new routes are key to our expansion strategy in the United States,” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
Viva Aerobus has the youngest fleet in Mexico, comprised of 83 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft with an average age of 5.45 years, which will also be in charge of these two new routes.
Viva’s vision is to consolidate Monterrey as one of the most important air hubs in northern Mexico, where passengers can easily make connections to more than 40 destinations such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun, Merida, Queretaro, Mazatlan, Veracruz and Hermosillo, among others.
