Brazil: LATAM to resume international flights from Porto Alegre in January

LATAM Airlines announced that it has resumed international air ticket sales from Salgado Filho Airport in Porto Alegre (Brazil), which had been suspended since May 14, 2024 following heavy flooding in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.

As of January 1, 2025, the airline will resume operations of its flights between Porto Alegre and Lima (Peru), and as of January 3, the Porto Alegre-Santiago (Chile) route.

LATAM to increase its flights to and from Aeroparque

Flights to Santiago will operate four times a week and to Lima three times a week.

As for domestic flights, starting October 21 LATAM will operate 10 daily flights between Salgado Filho Airport and 3 other destinations in Brazil. The offer increases as of October 27, with 15 to 17 daily flights to 5 domestic destinations.

The resumption of 100% of flights in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul will take place from December 16, according to the concessionaire Fraport, when LATAM will offer 20 to 22 daily flights to 5 domestic destinations.
