Norse Atlantic Airways completes historic flight between Norway and Australia
Norse Atlantic Airways made a historic charter flight between Oslo (Norway) and Darwin (Australia), which was chartered by Albastar S.A. This milestone marks the first non-stop flight between the two countries.
The flight took off on Saturday, August 3 at 06:30 (local time) from Oslo Gardermoen Airport and landed on Sunday, August 4 at 06:00 (local time) at Darwin International Airport, covering approximately 14,730 kilometers in a 16.5-hour flight, demonstrating the performance and efficiency of the Boeing 787-9 on long-range flights.

“Completing this charter flight between Norway and Darwin, a first in aviation, is a testament to our commitment to consistently delivering excellent service to our charter clients. The Boeing 787-9 has a range of up to 15,400 kilometers. Its advanced aerodynamics and lightweight composite materials significantly reduce fuel consumption, making it one of the most efficient aircraft in its class.
