Avianca announced Thursday that it continues to strengthen connectivity between Colombia and Argentina with the launch of a new route between Bogota and Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires.

The route will operate three weekly frequencies on A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers, which will represent more than 1,080 additional seats per week connecting the two cities.

“We are very proud to announce our new Bogota-Aeroparque operation, which joins the four routes with which we currently connect Colombia, Ecuador and Costa Rica with Argentina. In 2023, we will transport close to 400,000 passengers on routes to and from Argentina and, without a doubt, this new operation, which is the 20th we have launched at Avianca so far in 2024, represents an excellent opportunity to offer our customers a new alternative to fly to and from Argentina and bring the South of the continent even closer to more than 75 destinations around the world,” said Gabriel Oliva, Avianca’s Chief Operating Officer.

Thus, the operation between Bogotá and Aeroparque joins the four routes that Avianca operates to and from Argentina: Bogotá-Ezeiza (15 weekly frequencies); Medellín-Ezeiza (seven weekly flights); San José-Quito-Ezeiza (seven weekly frequencies); San José-Guayaquil-Ezeiza (new route with four weekly flights as of October 27).
