Avelo Airlines inaugurates flights to Cancun, Mexico

U.S. airline Avelo Airlines inaugurated Wednesday its nonstop flights between Hartford Bradley International Airport (Connecticut) and Cancun (Mexico), its second international destination after Montego Bay (Jamaica).

The route will operate twice weekly (Wednesday and Saturday) on Boeing 737NG aircraft, with one-way fares starting at $99.

This month, the airline debuted six new routes at Bradley Airport: Charlotte/Concord and Wilmington in North Carolina, Daytona Beach and Orlando/Lakeland in Florida, Houston via Hobby).

“Our inaugural international service to Cancun, and last week’s Montego Bay, is a significant milestone for Avelo. Our purpose is to Inspire Travel, and the addition of international service to our expansive route network offers our Customers even more choices”, Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said.

Avelo currently flies to 49 cities in 23 states and Puerto Rico, as well as two international destinations: Jamaica and Mexico.
