U.S.-based Spirit Airlines announced that it will discontinue nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2025.
The last flight on this route, which currently operates one daily frequency, will take off on February 11.

This decision goes hand in hand with a restructuring the airline is undergoing, after filing for Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Law last week.
