In line with its commitment to continue strengthening connectivity between Colombia and its regions, Avianca began operating its new route between Cartagena and Guayaquil on Tuesday.
The route will operate two weekly frequencies (Tuesday and Saturday) on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers, representing 720 seats per week between the two cities.

“This direct operation, which is part of the more than 20 routes that we inaugurated this year, our customers can now enjoy an offer of 10 direct destinations from the walled city and another 10 to fly non-stop from Guayaquil,” said David Aleman, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
This operation is part of the 26 new routes that the airline opened during 2024, consolidating the most extensive network in its history.
