Panama’s Copa Airlines resumed flights to Porto Alegre (Brazil) on Wednesday, after suspending service in May after unprecedented flooding in the state of Rio Grande do Sul forced the airport to close indefinitely.
The airline will offer four weekly frequencies that will be operated in Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers: 12 in Business Class and 162 in Economy, which includes 24 Economy Extra seats.

Flights will depart from Panama City on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 15:06, arriving in Porto Alegre at 00:20 the following day (local time). From the capital of Rio Grande do Sul they will take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 01:25, landing at Tocumen at 06:36 (local time).
With the resumption of flights to the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Copa once again flies to 7 destinations in Brazil: Manaus, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Florianopolis and Porto Alegra.
