Condor, the German airline known for its focus on leisure travel experiences, announced Monday its move to the new Terminal 6 (T6) at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in 2026.

Terminal 6: A Key Component in JFK’s Transformation

T6 is an essential part of the ambitious $19 billion project led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This plan includes the construction of two entirely new terminals, the expansion and modernization of two existing terminals, a state-of-the-art ground transportation center, and a simplified roadway network designed to optimize the traveler experience.

Condor to fly nonstop between Frankfurt and Panama City starting in June

T6 stands out for offering a boutique digital-first experience, with a design focused on passenger comfort and convenience. Key features include:

  • An average walking time of less than five minutes from the TSA security checkpoint to the gates.
  • 100,000 square feet of NYC-inspired shopping, dining, lounges, and services.
  • Sustainable operations and cutting-edge technology.

Condor: Innovation and Comfort in the Skies

The airline currently operates from JFK Terminal 7 with year-round flights to Frankfurt, Germany, operated by Airbus A330neo aircraft. These offer a three-cabin configuration: business class, premium economy and economy.

The move to Terminal 6 will allow Condor to offer its travelers an even more seamless and premium experience. In addition, passengers will be able to enjoy seamless connections to its partner JetBlue’s operations.

Meanwhile, Mikko Turtiainen, Director of Sales for the Americas at Condor, emphasized that this move is a strategic milestone for the airline: “The new T6 terminal, with its boutique experience, is perfectly aligned with our brand DNA. Our distinctive striped branding represents the diversity of destinations and passengers we serve, as well as our crew, and we are committed to personalizing every customer experience.”

Condor thus joins a list of international airlines that have decided to make the new T6 their future home at JFK Airport, including Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways and SWISS.
