Avianca Announces New Direct Route Between Dallas and Bogotá Starting in May

Avianca announced this Monday the launch of its new direct route between Dallas and Bogotá, strengthening its network of connections across the Americas. This service will begin on May 26, 2025, and will offer four weekly frequencies, providing more flight options for passengers looking to connect between Colombia and the United States.

The new route will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 180 passengers, representing a weekly offering of 1,440 seats in both directions.

Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Sales Director for North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe, highlighted the importance of this new connection: “We continue to bet on connectivity in the Americas to provide our customers with more options for direct travel between the United States and Colombia. We are excited to offer travelers the possibility of reaching Bogotá with a new operation from Dallas, adding to the 21 routes between this country and Latin America during the high season. Definitely, the Colombian capital is a vibrant destination, full of history, culture, and fascinating places to discover.”

Expansion of Avianca Routes in the U.S.

This route adds to Avianca’s existing operations between the United States and Colombia, which include direct flights from Miami, Orlando, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Chicago, Washington, and Boston to Colombian cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Pereira.

With this expansion, Avianca continues to consolidate its presence in the North American market and facilitates travelers’ access to a network of strategic destinations in Latin America.
