  • Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre to Bariloche

The flight schedule includes:

These operations are expected to take place between June and August 2025, with a total of over 10,000 seats available for passengers wishing to travel to these Argentine tourist destinations. The aircraft assigned to these routes will be the Airbus A320, with a capacity of 168 passengers.

The Importance of Brazilian Tourism in Argentina

Bariloche is one of the preferred destinations for Brazilian tourists during the winter season, especially for its ski resorts. In 2024, 36,000 passengers traveled between Brazil and Bariloche, with 22,000 of them traveling in July alone.

On the other hand, Mendoza, known for its wine production, also records high demand from Brazilian travelers. During the winter of 2024, 42,760 passengers were recorded.

Investments in Airport Infrastructure

The growth in air traffic has been accompanied by significant investments in Argentine airport infrastructure. Over the past five years, Aeropuertos Argentina has allocated more than 1 billion dollars to new terminals, runways, and improvements at key airports such as Ezeiza, Bariloche, San Rafael, Iguazú, and Aeroparque.

Ongoing projects include the remodeling and expansion of terminals in Resistencia, Salta, Río Hondo, and San Juan, the construction of a new terminal in Formosa, and improvements to runways and lighting systems at various airports across the country.

Vitor Silva, General Manager of Network Azul, Strategic Planning, and Alliances, highlighted the success of the operation in Bariloche last year, with an occupancy rate of over 90%, and expressed his enthusiasm for the route expansion in 2025: “This year we return with more flights, now including other routes such as Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre. Additionally, we will operate for the first time to Mendoza, another highly sought-after destination by Brazilians during this period, which we believe will be a great opportunity.”
