At the fifth edition of the Cranky Network Awards, organized by Cranky Flier and hosted by Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Avianca was honored with the “Most Improved Network” award. This recognition highlights the airline’s route growth in 2024, increased seat capacity, and expansion in the U.S. market.
Expansion and Strengthening in 2024
The airline achieved unprecedented growth in its history. In 2024, Avianca consolidated the largest route network in its 105 years of operation and set a record for the number of passengers transported.
“Being nominated in two categories was an honor for us, and winning the ‘Most Improved Network’ award is undoubtedly a testament to the hard work of our entire team to enhance connectivity and air travel access. We take pride in exploring new destinations and strengthening our presence in the United States,” said Claudio Vélez, Senior Vice President of Network and Alliances at Avianca.
