Wingo is preparing for one of the busiest periods in the airline industry: Holy Week. For 2025, the airline has planned an operation that includes 550 flights and over 102,000 available seats across 37 routes connecting 20 destinations in Latin America. With these figures, the company expects to carry more than 100,000 passengers between April 11 and 20.
“Holy Week is one of the peak travel periods of the year in the domestic air market. For Wingo, we will maintain the projected number of seats and passengers compared to 2024, and some routes are expected to reach a load factor of up to 99%, based on our estimated demand increase,” said Jorge Jiménez, Vice President of Commercial and Planning at Wingo.

Greater Focus on Domestic Routes
The Colombian domestic market will take center stage in this operation. The airline will allocate 60% of its seat capacity to routes within Colombia, prioritizing connections between the country’s major cities. Among the routes with the highest capacity increases are:
- Bogotá — Medellín
- Bogotá — Cali
- Bogotá — Barranquilla
- Bogotá — Cartagena
Additionally, routes linking Medellín with Santa Marta, Cartagena, and Barranquilla have also seen rising demand.
Caribbean and Venezuela: Top International Destinations
Internationally, Caribbean beach destinations remain the most sought-after by Wingo travelers. Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Havana, and Panama City lead the preferences. Furthermore, routes to Caracas, Venezuela—from both Bogotá and Medellín—have experienced significant demand growth.
Jiménez emphasized Wingo’s commitment to delivering a quality experience for passengers: “Our team is ready to provide the best service to our travelers during this season, which poses a significant challenge for us as a growing airline. We will strive to deliver a product that meets our passengers’ expectations in terms of service quality and operational punctuality.”
With a projected network-wide load factor of 97% and the potential to reach 99% on certain routes, Wingo approaches Holy Week 2025 with a robust strategy focused on meeting the growing demand from travelers.
