Iberia and Aerolíneas Argentinas have signed a strategic alliance that will streamline travel between Argentina and Spain like never before. Starting today, Thursday, passengers of both airlines will enjoy seamless connections to an extensive network of destinations in both countries.
Under this agreement, Iberia customers will gain access to 37 destinations within Argentina operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas, while passengers of the Argentine carrier will be able to connect to 29 cities across Spain via Iberia.
Greater Convenience and Connection With a Single Reservation
One of the key benefits of this partnership is that travelers can complete their entire journey with a single ticket and one check-in. This eliminates the need to purchase separate flights and simplifies trip management from the origin city to the final destination.
For example, a passenger flying with Iberia from Madrid can effortlessly connect to Argentine destinations such as Bariloche, Mendoza, or Ushuaia via Buenos Aires. Similarly, those traveling with Aerolíneas Argentinas can reach Spanish cities like Bilbao, Valencia, or Sevilla with a smooth connection at Madrid-Barajas Airport.

Fabián Lombardo, President and General Manager of Aerolíneas Argentinas, emphasized: “This alliance with Iberia is a natural response to our deep historical ties, both cultural and commercial. Argentines have strong roots in Spain, and agreements like this bring them closer to their origins through an expanded network of destinations, partnering with a highly reputable player in the market.”
Marco Sansavini, CEO and President of Iberia, added: “Thanks to this agreement, we will be able to offer our customers the best travel options in a market as significant as Argentina. From now on, the over 2,000 passengers we transport daily on our three flights between Buenos Aires and Madrid will have access to a comprehensive domestic network, enabling them to explore the wonders of Argentina with comfort and efficiency.”
Destinations and Travel Opportunities
Iberia travelers will gain access to 37 Argentine cities, including Córdoba, Mendoza, Bariloche, Mar del Plata, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazú, Tucumán, and more.
Meanwhile, Aerolíneas Argentinas passengers will be able to fly to 29 Spanish destinations, such as Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao, Málaga, Granada, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and others.
This alliance strengthens the bonds between both countries and opens new opportunities for tourism and business.
