LOT Polish Airlines officially announced a codeshare partnership with ITA Airways this Wednesday. This strategic cooperation allows LOT passengers to access ten new destinations across Italy: Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Florence, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, and Turin.
Previously, LOT’s route network included direct flights from Poland to Milan, Venice, and Rome. With this expansion, travelers departing from Warsaw and other Polish cities can now connect to ITA’s extensive Italian network without purchasing separate tickets or worrying about airline switches or baggage policies.
Benefits for Passengers of Both Airlines
One of the key advantages of this agreement is the uniform baggage policy and integrated fare conditions throughout the entire itinerary. This translates to a smoother and more comfortable travel experience, especially for those making international connections.
Additionally, ITA Airways passengers can now fly comfortably from Rome-Fiumicino Airport to Warsaw and other destinations served by LOT, thereby expanding the European travel options from Italy to the east.

Guaranteed Transfers and Earnable Miles
Passengers traveling under this agreement can benefit from guaranteed transfers and accumulate miles through the Miles & More program. Starting February 3, 2025, it will also be possible to earn and redeem miles on flights operated by ITA Airways, enhancing customer loyalty and offering even more perks to frequent flyers.
Robert Ludera, Registered Representative and Director of the Network Office at LOT Polish Airlines, emphasized: “Securing a codeshare agreement with ITA Airways is part of our expansion and service improvement strategy. This partnership allows our passengers to access a wide network of domestic connections in Italy, making travel across this beautiful country easier. We are also delighted to welcome our partner’s travelers aboard LOT.”
Joerg Eberhart, CEO and General Manager of ITA Airways, added: “This alliance marks a significant step in ITA Airways’ growth strategy, improving connectivity between Italy and Poland. It strengthens economic and commercial ties between the two countries and enables LOT passengers to experience the excellence of Made in Italy.”
These new codeshare flights will be available for booking starting April 10, 2025. Tickets can be purchased through LOT and ITA Airways’ usual sales channels.
