Volotea has announced an exclusive new route linking Madrid to the Italian city of Ancona, starting December 19, 2025.
Over 2,100 Seats and 12 Scheduled Flights
For this new route, Volotea will offer more than 2,100 seats across approximately 12 flights. The service will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, aiming to adapt to demand and provide greater flexibility for passengers.
Expansion in Madrid: 14% Growth in 2025
With the addition of this connection, the airline continues to strengthen its network in Madrid. In 2025, Volotea plans to offer over 220,000 seats from the Spanish capital, representing a 14% increase compared to 2024.

Ancona joins the six existing routes from Madrid, which connect to Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, Olbia, Toulouse, and Verona.
Gabriel Schmilovich, Volotea’s Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized the importance of this new connection:
“At Volotea, we remain committed to facilitating travel between small and medium-sized cities in Europe. That’s why we are very pleased to offer Madrid residents this new direct connection to Ancona, a charming coastal city on the Adriatic. This route strengthens our network between Spain and Italy, providing more comfortable and accessible flight options for our passengers. Since we began operations in Madrid in 2017, we have transported over 600,000 travelers, solidifying the city as a key destination in our network.”
