Aer Lingus has officially announced the launch of its new direct route between Dublin and Cancun, Mexico. This new connection will begin operating on January 6, 2026, and will remain active until April 29 of the same year, with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) onboard Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The goal: to offer Irish travelers a seamless escape to the warmth and cultural richness of the Mexican Caribbean.
Flights will depart Dublin at 13:30, landing in Cancun at 19:20 (local time). From the Yucatán Peninsula, flights will take off at 21:05, arriving in the Irish capital at 11:20 the following day (local time).
Tickets for the new route are now available starting from €291 one-way, including taxes, fees, and service charges.

Aer Lingus CEO Lynne Embleton emphasized that this new route is part of the airline’s commitment to expanding its winter sun destination offerings: “Our research reveals strong customer interest in unique travel experiences, especially outside peak season. Mexico, with its tropical climate and rich cultural heritage, perfectly meets that demand.”
With year-round warm temperatures, golden beaches, and crystal-clear waters, Cancun has become a favorite destination for tourists from Ireland. Aer Lingus’s decision to include this city in its long-haul route network reflects growing demand for exotic destinations during the colder months in the Northern Hemisphere.
