Venezuelan airline Conviasa has announced the launch of two new international routes offering direct flights from Maracaibo and Barquisimeto to Cancun, Mexico. The new services will begin operating in July using Embraer 190 aircraft, further enhancing connectivity between Venezuela and the Mexican Caribbean.
Maracaibo-Cancun
On July 2, 2025, the airline will inaugurate its Maracaibo-Cancun route, with two weekly flights.
Flights will depart from Maracaibo on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9:30 PM, arriving in Cancun at 11:30 PM (local time). Return flights will leave Cancun at 12:30 AM, landing in the capital of Zulia state at 4:30 AM (local time).

Barquisimeto-Cancun
On July 3, the Barquisimeto-Cancun service will commence, with one weekly flight.
The flight will depart from Barquisimeto on Thursdays at 9:20 PM, arriving in Cancun at 11:40 PM (local time). From the Yucatan Peninsula, the return flight will depart on Fridays at 12:40 AM, landing at Jacinto Lara Airport at 5:00 AM (local time).
These new routes strengthen Conviasa’s international offerings, which already include direct flights from Caracas to Mexico City and Cancun, providing Venezuelan passengers with more options for seamless international travel.
