Discover Airlines has expanded its North American network with the inauguration of its new route to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, operating from Frankfurt, which launched last Friday.
Frequency and Season: A Strategic Service for Summer
The new seasonal connection will be available from May 2 to October 24, 2025, with four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
This route replaces Lufthansa’s previous year-round service. The decision reflects a strategy to adapt to seasonal demand, particularly during the summer months when interest in destinations with natural and outdoor offerings peaks.
“Minneapolis is an excellent addition to our route network. The region boasts vast, pristine nature, countless lakes, and outdoor experiences that are especially popular in the summer. More and more travelers are seeking connections with nature, and Minnesota has it all and more,” explained Marco Götz, Commercial Director of Discover Airlines.
North America Gains Prominence in Discover Airlines’ Network
With the addition of Minneapolis, Discover Airlines now serves nine destinations in North America. The new route joins a portfolio that includes connections to Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Calgary, Halifax, and Anchorage.
Tickets for flights to Minneapolis can be purchased through the Discover Airlines and Lufthansa websites.
