JetBlue has taken a major step in its international expansion by inaugurating two new nonstop routes from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Madrid, Spain, and Edinburgh, Scotland, this Thursday. Both routes will be seasonal and operate daily until October 25, 2025. This move solidifies Massachusetts’ capital as a strategic hub for the airline and significantly boosts its presence in Europe.
Two New Destinations, One Clear Strategy
By adding Madrid and Edinburgh to its transatlantic network, JetBlue not only introduces two iconic European capitals but also diversifies travel options for New England passengers. Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning, emphasized that this expansion enhances connectivity from Boston to Europe, as well as to the rest of JetBlue’s network in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.
First Time in Spain: JetBlue Lands in Madrid
For the first time in its history, the airline is offering direct flights to Spain, becoming the only U.S. carrier with nonstop service between Boston and Madrid.
The outbound flight departs Boston at 10:25 p.m. and arrives in Madrid at 11:30 a.m. the following day. The return flight leaves Madrid at 1:30 p.m. and lands in Boston at 3:24 p.m. (all times local).

Edinburgh Returns: A Renewed Cultural Bridge with Scotland
With its iconic castle, cobblestone streets, and vibrant arts scene, Edinburgh is a prime destination for both tourists and business travelers. JetBlue already operates successful seasonal flights from New York (JFK) to this city and is now expanding the service from Boston.
The Boston flight departs at 10:30 p.m. and arrives in Edinburgh at 10:10 a.m. the next day. The return flight leaves Edinburgh at 12:10 p.m. and lands in Boston at 2:22 p.m.
Special Launch Fares: A Limited-Time Opportunity
To celebrate the opening, JetBlue has launched promotional fares for passengers departing from Boston. Roundtrip Core class tickets are available for $699 to Madrid and $649 to Edinburgh. For those seeking a premium experience, the Mint fare is offered from $2,399 to Madrid and $3,299 to Edinburgh.
Introductory prices are also available for travelers from Europe: starting at €599 for Core class and €1,999 for Mint class from Madrid; and £499 for Core class and £1,999 for Mint class from Edinburgh.
A Summer with European Flair: Seven Daily Flights Between Boston and Europe
JetBlue’s transatlantic offerings from Boston this summer now include daily flights to Madrid, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Dublin, and London-Gatwick, in addition to year-round services to London-Heathrow and Paris. In total, there will be seven daily flights between Boston and the Old Continent.
From New York (JFK), the airline also operates seasonal flights to Dublin and Edinburgh, alongside permanent services to Amsterdam, London-Heathrow, and Paris. Demand has been so strong that flights to Dublin and Edinburgh will be extended through late October—a month longer than in 2024.
With these new routes, JetBlue is expanding its international reach and reaffirming its commitment to Boston as a key gateway to the world. And it does so with a clear proposition: nonstop flights, competitive prices, and a travel experience designed to lead in comfort and service.
