Avianca has submitted a request to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority for the opening of a new international route connecting El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá to Belém, Brazil. This application aims to enhance connectivity between the two countries and provide passengers with new flight options.
According to the submitted documentation, the airline plans to operate this route with a frequency of 7 weekly flights, equivalent to one daily flight. For this purpose, it will use Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. Additionally, the request includes operations under third and fourth freedom traffic rights.

If approved, Avianca would be the only airline operating this route nonstop, making Belém its fourth destination in Brazil after São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Manaus.
The establishment of this new route would strengthen Avianca’s presence in the international market and improve connectivity between Colombia and Brazil.
