The Brazilian manufacturer Embraer has inaugurated its new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility for commercial aircraft at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, strengthening its footprint in the United States.
A Phased Project: Solid Present and Future in Progress
Initial operations will begin in an existing hangar, while a second hangar is under construction and slated for completion by 2027. This expansion represents a 53% increase in Embraer’s service capacity in the U.S., enabling the company to better serve current and future customers, both domestically and in other international markets.
$70 Million Investment and 250 New Jobs
The projected investment totals up to $70 million and is expected to generate approximately 250 jobs in Texas’ aerospace sector. Collaboration with the City of Fort Worth and the State of Texas has been pivotal in bringing this expansion to life, combining top-tier infrastructure with a strategic location.

Robert Allen, President and CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, stated: “Fort Worth has been designated the Aviation Capital of Texas by the Governor, and this announcement confirms it. This new center will allow Embraer to expand its operations and bring hundreds of new jobs to our area. It’s a takeoff for Embraer and for Fort Worth!”
Frank Stevens, Vice President of Global MRO Centers for Embraer Services & Support, also emphasized the support received: “The backing from the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas has been instrumental. We will continue working to expand Embraer’s capacity, technical expertise, and presence in the U.S.”
Fort Worth: A Hub for North American Operations
With this new center, Embraer now operates 13 owned service centers worldwide, part of a network exceeding 80 authorized facilities. This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to the North American market and addresses the growing demand for technical support in the region.
