Spanish airline Volotea announced this Thursday two new routes that will strengthen its presence in northern Italy. Starting in November and December 2025, the company will offer direct flights from Bilbao and Sevilla to Verona, a city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Bilbao–Verona: A Key Winter Connection
The route between Bilbao International Airport and Verona-Villafranca Airport will operate in two blocks:
- From December 6 to 9, 2025, with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- From December 19, 2025, to January 6, 2026, with departures on Tuesdays and Fridays.
This schedule aligns with seasonal demand during the holiday periods of Constitution Bridge and Christmas. With Verona, Volotea will offer 22 routes from Bilbao in 2025, expanding its network that already includes domestic destinations such as Alicante, Murcia, and Sevilla, as well as international ones like Rome, Venice, Marrakech, and Porto.

Sevilla–Verona: Strengthening Presence in Andalusia
Volotea is also launching a new route between Sevilla San Pablo Airport and Verona, which will operate in two phases:
- From November 6 to December 14, 2025.
- From February 12 to March 26, 2026.
Flights will be available twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, covering both the low season and the early months of the year, traditionally more accessible for cultural tourism.
With this new connection, Volotea increases its number of routes from Sevilla to six in 2025. Currently, the airline connects the Andalusian capital with cities such as Bilbao, Asturias, and Bordeaux.
“By adding Verona to our network from Bilbao and Sevilla, we offer our passengers direct access to one of the most iconic cities in northern Italy during the winter holiday season,” commented Gabriel Schmilovich, Volotea’s Strategy Director.
