The airline LEVEL marks its eighth anniversary in June by reaching new heights in growth. Since its launch, the company has transported over 3 million passengers, representing a 20% increase compared to the previous year. With 11,636 operated flights and more than 105 million kilometers flown (a 35% and 31% rise, respectively), LEVEL strengthens its position as a leader in long-haul flights at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
Barcelona: The Heart of Growth
Of the total passengers, 1.6 million began their journey from Barcelona, a 33% increase over the previous cumulative figure. In the United States, 900,000 people flew with LEVEL, reflecting a 28% growth. In the South America and Caribbean region, which includes destinations like Punta Cana and Cancún, the airline carried 700,000 passengers, a 17% rise compared to the prior period.
Fleet Expansion and Enhanced Connectivity
The company has added its seventh aircraft, enabling increased frequencies and new routes. This expansion has been key to improving competitiveness during the 2024-2025 winter season, with a projected 9% increase in seat capacity compared to the previous year. For the summer of 2025, capacity to Latin America will grow by 24%. The addition of an eighth aircraft is planned for 2026.

Air Operator Certificate: Full Autonomy
One of LEVEL’s major achievements in the past year has been obtaining its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC), granting it full autonomy within the IAG group. This places the airline on par with other group carriers like British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, and Aer Lingus, allowing it to operate with its own structure and processes.
New Leadership Focused on Efficiency and Customer Experience
The appointment of Rafael Jiménez Hoyos as CEO has ushered in a new era of renewal for the company. Under his leadership, LEVEL aims to continue growing, strengthening the connection between Barcelona and the Americas through innovation, operational efficiency, and a customer-centric approach. “Celebrating eight years reflects a project that has matured, overcome challenges, and grown with determination,” emphasized the executive.
Flydays and 8-Euro Tickets to Celebrate the Anniversary
As part of its eighth-anniversary celebration, LEVEL has launched “Flydays,” featuring promotional fares on select routes throughout June. Additionally, subscribers to its newsletter will have access to a special offer with tickets priced at just 8 euros—an initiative designed to reward customer loyalty.
Consolidation as Barcelona’s Long-Haul Leader
Since 2023, LEVEL has established itself as the leading long-haul airline at Barcelona Airport. Currently, it connects the Catalan city with seven destinations in the Americas: Miami, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile. It is also the only direct operator on three of these routes: Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile, solidifying its role as a bridge between Europe and the Americas.
Commitment to Sustainability and Personalized Experience
LEVEL has upgraded its catering equipment with more sustainable solutions and introduced a new eco-friendly and functional Amenity Kit. The airline is committed to a personalized service model, allowing passengers to tailor their journey according to their needs. Its advance sales platform enables travelers to book services like meals or comfort products up to 12 hours before their flight, optimizing the experience while reducing food waste and onboard weight.
