The global aircraft leasing company Avolon announced this Thursday an order for 90 Airbus aircraft, solidifying its position as one of the world’s leading aircraft lessors. The deal includes 15 A330neo and 75 A321neo units, models highly regarded for their operational and technological efficiency. With this new acquisition, Avolon’s portfolio now totals 79 A330neo and 264 A321neo aircraft.
Andy Cronin, CEO of Avolon, emphasized that this investment reflects a positive long-term market outlook: “This order demonstrates our strong confidence in the sustained demand for new aircraft. Our scale and financial strength position us to support our customers’ expansion and fleet renewal needs over the next decade.”
Both the A321neo and A330neo continue to experience robust demand, driven by the structural growth of global air traffic. These models, designed for regional and long-haul routes, incorporate the latest technologies and offer optimized fuel performance—key factors for airlines today.

Airbus also highlighted the significance of this agreement. Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President of Sales for Airbus’ Commercial Aircraft Division, remarked:
“Lessors are excellent barometers of the aircraft market, and we appreciate Avolon’s expanded commitment to the A320 Family and the A330neo, just two years after a previous order. This endorsement underscores the strong appeal both models have for a wide range of customers.”
The focus on the A321neo and A330neo reflects a clear vision: the market will continue to demand aircraft with lower fuel consumption, greater range, and operational versatility. With this strategic move, Avolon secures a leading role in the evolution of global air transport.
