Frontier Airlines announced this Wednesday the launch of “Disruption Assistance for Any Reason,” a pioneering benefit in the U.S. airline industry, now available for those who book through the airline’s website.
This new service allows passengers to access automatic and instant solutions in the event of flight disruptions, such as delays exceeding two hours or same-day cancellations. Developed in collaboration with HTS, the B2B division of Hopper, the tool is part of Frontier’s “The New Frontier” strategy, focused on providing travelers with more options, control, and confidence.
How Does the New Benefit Work?
Passengers who purchase this add-on during the booking process will receive proactive, automated notifications if a qualifying disruption occurs. From there, they can make real-time decisions, such as:
- Booking another flight with any airline,
- Requesting a full 100% refund while still retaining the option to stay on their original Frontier itinerary.
This autonomy marks a turning point in how air travel disruptions are managed.

Currently, this assistance is available exclusively through the airline’s official website, though it is expected to soon be integrated into the Frontier mobile app. The purchase option is presented during the booking phase in a clear and accessible manner.
