Avianca has announced the addition of a new direct route between Bogotá and Monterrey, set to begin operations on October 26. With this initiative, the airline continues its expansion into Mexican territory, solidifying its position as one of the carriers with the broadest coverage in Latin America.
The service will operate with four weekly frequencies: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. This connectivity responds to the growing demand between the two cities and strengthens Avianca’s flight network to key regional destinations.
Flights will depart from Bogotá at 08:10 and arrive in Monterrey at 12:30 (local time). The return flight is scheduled for 13:50, landing in the Colombian capital at 19:50.

The new route will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity for 180 passengers, offering a total of 1,440 weekly seats across both directions.
“In the first half of 2025 alone, we transported more than 579,000 passengers to and from Mexico on more than 4,400 flights, so with this new operation, we want to continue providing new connectivity opportunities for Mexicans to more than 80 destinations in our route network in the Americas and Europe,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
With this new connection, Monterrey becomes Avianca’s third destination in Mexico, after Mexico City and Cancún. This underscores the airline’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in high-value markets and strengthening commercial and tourism ties between Colombia and Mexico.
Tickets for this route are already available for purchase through Avianca’s official channels.
Through this expansion, Avianca reaffirms its commitment to connecting more regions directly, enhancing the passenger experience, and meeting the needs of an increasingly dynamic market.
