Air Europa is enhancing its loyalty program with a new tool designed with families in mind. The more than three million registered users of Air Europa Suma can now enjoy the new family accounts. This option allows multiple members to pool their Miles and redeem them collectively, enabling them to reach program benefits faster.
Simpler and More Flexible Mileage Management
The new format is designed to make it easier to manage the points accumulated by each traveler. Creating a family account is a simple process: just access your personal Air Europa Suma profile and click on “My Family Account.” From there, the user can invite up to seven people—both adults and minors—to join the group, with a maximum of five adults per account.
If any potential member is not yet registered in the program, they simply need to complete their registration to start participating.
How the Family Accounts System Works
Each group will have an adult administrator responsible for managing the team. This administrator can add or remove members and decide how the accumulated Miles will be used. Redemptions will be deducted from the total shared balance, streamlining access to flights, class upgrades, and other benefits.

Although the use of Miles will be collective, each traveler will continue to accumulate their points individually. The difference is that they can now take advantage of the benefits of joining forces, especially for families who travel frequently or combine leisure and business trips.
No Changes to Mileage Validity
The validity of the points remains unchanged: Suma Miles retain their 24-month validity, while Nivel Miles expire after 12 months. This detail ensures that users do not lose acquired rights and can continue planning their trips with the same flexibility.
Cristina Sarabia, Loyalty Manager at Air Europa, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the airline’s commitment to offering a customer-centric experience:
“With family accounts, we take another step in our goal of letting the customer decide what their experience with Air Europa should be like. Our loyalty program is a recognition of the passengers who place their trust in us and choose to travel with us; with this new format, we bring the multiple benefits of Suma even closer to them, allowing them to share these benefits with their closest loved ones.”
A Boost for the Loyalty Program
With the introduction of family accounts, Air Europa Suma expands its reach and strengthens its position as one of the most comprehensive frequent flyer programs in the Spanish market. The new functionality not only simplifies points management but also encourages collaboration among users, transforming loyalty into a shared experience.
