Air Serbia has announced the return of its direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto, a route not served since 1992. Starting May 23, 2026, the airline will offer two weekly frequencies—on Wednesdays and Saturdays—operated with Airbus A330-200.

Tickets will be available starting October 16, 2025, on the airline’s website.

This announcement marks a decisive step in Air Serbia’s intercontinental expansion. After consolidating direct routes to New York and Chicago, Toronto becomes the airline’s third destination in North America.

“After more than 30 years, we are proud to reintroduce the direct flight between Belgrade and Toronto. This strategic step opens a new chapter in our company’s history and strengthens Serbia’s economic, commercial, and cultural development,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

A Bridge Between Europe and North America

The new link will contribute to Air Serbia’s vision of turning Belgrade into a transit hub between Europe and North America. The airline is confident this expansion will reinforce the country’s position as an attractive connection point for tourism and investment.

“Strengthening our presence in the North American market is key to making Serbia a more accessible and competitive destination. We will continue to expand our intercontinental route network to remain at the forefront of air transportation in the region,” Marek added.

Connections from Toronto Across Europe

Air Serbia will offer passengers from Toronto multiple connection options via Belgrade to European cities such as Athens, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Heraklion, Istanbul, Ljubljana, Bucharest, Prague, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Podgorica, Tirana, Tivat, Vienna, Zagreb, and Zurich.

With this new route, the airline reinforces its commitment to enhancing connectivity between Europe and North America, offering more alternatives for business travelers, tourists, and members of the Serbian community in Canada.
