Start of International Connection Fee at Lima Airport Postponed until December

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced that the concessionaire Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has decided to postpone the implementation of the Unified Airport Usage Fee (TUUA) for international connections at Jorge Chávez Airport.

This measure, which was originally scheduled to take effect on October 27, will now enter into force on December 7, 2025.

According to the MTC, this temporary decision is being made while the tariff review processes and the adaptation of current regulations are completed. The TUUA is linked to the airport services that LAP provides to passengers within the facilities of the country’s main air terminal.

Contractual Modification Underway

The MTC specified that it is working with Lima Airport Partners on a contractual modification that will allow for the elimination of the TUUA charge for domestic connections, the payment of which is currently suspended.

Furthermore, the entity will manage an update to the Regulations of the Civil Aviation Law with the aim of ensuring that all air transport costs are clearly and transparently disclosed on travel tickets.

Ositrán Defines Final Tariffs

Concurrently, the Supervising Agency for Investment in Public Transport Infrastructure (Ositrán) is evaluating the establishment of the final transfer tariffs, a process that will be completed in the coming weeks.

The agency reaffirmed that the Peruvian State maintains its commitment to transparency and responsibility, guaranteeing respect for concession contracts and promoting the sustainability of the air sector, tourism, and passenger welfare.
