During the Dubai Airshow 2025, Emirates announced the acquisition of eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB84 engines. This order, valued at $3.4 billion according to list prices, brings the airline’s total orders for the model to 73 units.
To date, Emirates has taken delivery of 13 A350 aircraft. The newly announced units are scheduled for delivery throughout 2031.
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, highlighted: “The entry into service of the A350 last November has provided us with additional capacity and allowed us to introduce our latest onboard products, including our Premium Economy seats, which have been very well received by our customers.”
The executive also emphasized that, together with the additional Boeing 777-9 order announced days earlier, Emirates now has a total of 375 wide-body aircraft in its order book.

Silk Way West Airlines Bets on the A350F for its Expansion
Baku, Azerbaijan-based cargo airline Silk Way West Airlines signed a firm contract to acquire two additional A350F aircraft. With this agreement, the company increases its total number of ordered units to four, consolidating its fleet modernization and expansion strategy.
Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines, stated: “We are delighted to expand our collaboration with Airbus on the A350F program. This order, which increases our commitment to four aircraft, represents an important milestone in our growth and reflects our confidence in the future of sustainable air transport.”
The announcements made by Emirates and Silk Way West Airlines during the Dubai Airshow 2025 reinforce the position of the Airbus A350 as a key component in the evolution of commercial and cargo aviation.
