Aerolíneas Argentinas Adds its Fifteenth Boeing 737 MAX and Grows its Fleet to 83 Aircraft
Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed that a new Boeing 737 MAX 8, registration LV-KNR, landed in the country on Thursday night. With this addition, the company reaches 15 units of this model and a total of 83 aircraft in operation.
In the coming days, the aircraft will undergo test flights and mandatory inspections before receiving its operational certification. The goal is for it to be available for the peak summer season, when demand grows on both domestic and regional routes.
An Efficient Aircraft for the Domestic and Regional Market
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 maintains a 170-seat configuration and is equipped with next-generation engines, advanced winglets, and modernized cabin systems. Its aerodynamic design allows it to:
- Reduce noise footprint by 40%.
- Decrease NOx emissions by 50% compared to the limits established by ICAO (CAEP/6).
- Achieve operating costs 8% lower than other aircraft of similar capacity.
These characteristics give it a competitive advantage on routes where efficiency directly impacts economic results and the passenger experience.

A Historic Self-Funded Investment Plan
Days ago, Aerolíneas presented its first investment plan financed with its own resources, a milestone for the company. The program includes the incorporation of 18 new aircraft:
- 4 Airbus A330neo
- 14 Boeing 737 MAX in various variants
Furthermore, it includes comprehensive cabin interior refurbishment work and the installation of onboard Wi-Fi across the entire fleet. This step represents a new stage for the company, which seeks to consolidate its financial sustainability and plan for growth with greater autonomy.
