Aerolíneas Argentinas and Abra Group have formalized a new bilateral codeshare agreement that improves connectivity between Colombia and Argentina. The initiative facilitates travel with a single ticket, one check-in process, and smoother connections for passengers flying between multiple cities in the region.
New Routes Available for Each Airline
Under the agreement, Avianca will be able to offer connections from Buenos Aires to Bahía Blanca, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuquén, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazú, Salta, and Tucumán. For its part, Aerolíneas Argentinas will gain commercial access to San Andrés, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Medellín, Pereira, and Santa Marta, always via connections from Bogotá.

Expansion of the Interline Agreement
The previous pact between both companies is being expanded to include 18 destinations in Argentina and Brazil operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas, in addition to 12 routes in Central and South America operated by Avianca. This creates a broader network for travelers seeking efficient alternatives within the continent.
Next Steps and Authorizations
The two companies will continue the process to obtain the necessary approvals to fully implement the agreement. The goal is to consolidate a coordinated service that enhances the passenger experience on each leg of the journey.
The CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Fabián Lombardo, noted that this stage drives a stronger regional network, with better options and a competitive offering. In parallel, Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra, emphasized that this understanding will reinforce connectivity for Avianca customers in the Southern Cone and increase travel alternatives between both countries.
An Agreement Backed by a Prior Understanding
The initiative builds upon the Memorandum of Understanding signed in October 2023 between Aerolíneas Argentinas and Abra Group. That document laid the groundwork for building a more robust and diverse regional network for users.
