JetBlue will open its first VIP lounge, BlueHouse, on December 18, 2025, in Terminal 5 of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The space is part of the JetForward strategy, focused on offering more attentive and personalized services. The company aims to make the airport experience simpler and more comfortable from the very beginning, with a welcoming environment and time management that reduces wait times and makes transit more fluid.
Marty St. George, the airline’s president, highlighted that the lounge provides a sense of home within the airport, with a warm atmosphere and a level of service travelers had been requesting. He also noted that this project represents a significant step in JetBlue’s evolution toward an accessible premium offering.
Design That Reflects New York
BlueHouse spans 9,000 square feet across two levels. The aesthetic is inspired by classic city apartments, with Art Deco details, molding, brass accents, and a lobby-style entrance that defines the character of the space. Every corner incorporates elements that evoke JetBlue’s identity and the essence of New York.
Stephanie Evans Greene, senior vice president of marketing and brand, explained that the intention was to create an environment that conveys a sense of home, with visual layers that invite guests to discover historical nods to the company and local symbols. The lounge features art curated by Statement Of and a mural by Artists for Humanity composed of constellations of the airline’s destinations, inspired by the ceiling of Grand Central Terminal.
Cuisine with a Local Stamp
The culinary offering, prepared daily by Union Square Events, includes quick options with New York flavor. In the morning, there are bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches with state cheddar; later, snacks like pastrami on rye and chicken Caesar wraps are added.

The beverage program features draft beers, wines, and cocktails created with local partners: The Greats of Craft, Please Don’t Tell, and several renowned city sommeliers. Coffee service is provided by Joe Coffee, alongside chai and matcha from Dona and teas from Steven Smith Teamaker. Travel-enhancing items can also be requested.
Spaces to Unwind, Work, or Play
The lounge combines open areas with quiet corners. There is high-speed Wi-Fi, charging points at nearly every seat, and quiet zones for resting before boarding.
Those seeking leisure will find a game room with custom cards, chess, checkers, and children’s toys. Additionally, there is a photo booth for taking a memento home.
Access for Loyal Customers and Premium Travelers
JetBlue will integrate BlueHouse into the benefits of its TrueBlue program. The airline launched the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard this year, issued by Barclays US Consumer Bank, which offers complimentary access, increased point accumulation, and priority advantages.
Ed Pouthier, vice president of loyalty and personalization, emphasized that the lounge represents a notable enhancement within the program, providing additional recognition for those who fly with the company regularly. The idea is to maintain a comfortable occupancy level, avoiding overcrowding and frequent lines common in other similar facilities.
