LATAM Airlines Group further consolidated its operational and commercial recovery in 2025, closing the year with 87.4 million passengers carried, representing a year-on-year growth of 6.6%.
This performance was clearly driven by two key engines: the sustained strength of the Brazilian domestic market and the expansion of the international network. This comes in a context where LATAM continues to adjust capacity, routes, and frequencies with a decidedly strategic focus.
December: Solid Growth in Passengers, Capacity, and Load Factor
The final month of the year confirmed the positive trend. In December 2025, LATAM transported 7.9 million passengers, a 7.6% increase compared to the same month in 2024.
This increase was accompanied by a significant expansion in capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), which grew 10.9% year-on-year. The growth was not uniform and reveals the group’s operational priorities:
- LATAM Airlines Brasil led the increase with an 11.9% expansion in domestic supply.
- The international operation showed even greater progress, with a 13.9% growth in capacity during the month.

Concurrently, consolidated traffic, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPK), increased by 10.5%, sustaining a robust load factor of 84.5% for the year-end—a figure consistent with disciplined growth management.
New Routes: Focus on Long-Haul and Key Markets
During December, LATAM inaugurated 10 new routes, strengthening both its regional and intercontinental network. Among them, two long-haul international routes stand out, reinforcing the group’s positioning in strategic markets:
- Santiago — Buenos Aires (Ezeiza) — Miami
- Guayaquil — New York
Both routes demonstrate a clear commitment to connecting South American hubs with destinations of high corporate and tourist demand, particularly in the United States.
Cargo Operation: Stable Capacity in December
In the cargo segment, the company reported an Available Tonne Kilometer (ATK) capacity of 731 million for December.
2025 Annual Overview: Network Expansion and Regional Leadership
Beyond the monthly close, the annual overview shows sustained network expansion. During 2025, LATAM launched eight new destinations, including:
- Fernando de Noronha
- Curacao
- Tucuman, among others.
With these additions, the group now reaches 160 passenger destinations in 27 countries, reinforcing its position as the largest airline operator in Latin America.
Year’s Most Intensive Routes: High Frequency and Structural Demand
The announcement also provides a clear signal about the markets with the highest density and recurrence. In 2025, the five routes with the highest number of daily flights within the group’s network were:
- Cusco – Lima
- São Paulo (Congonhas) – Rio de Janeiro (Santos Dumont)
- Bogota – Medellin
- Arequipa – Lima
- Brasilia – São Paulo (Congonhas)
In all cases, these are high-frequency domestic or regional corridors, where the combination of corporate, tourist, and connecting traffic continues to support structurally strong demand.
The 2025 figures confirm that LATAM is advancing with a strategy of selective growth, prioritizing markets where it can deploy scale, optimize load factors, and reinforce its role as a regional hub.
