Florida lawmakers approved a bill this week to rename Palm Beach International Airport as the President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
The initiative has already cleared the State Senate and now moves to Governor Ron DeSantis for his signature. Following the Governor’s approval, the change will require authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). If both steps are completed, the name change is set to take effect in July.

The organization maintained that it is not seeking financial gain through this move. Instead, they argue the filing is a defensive measure against “bad actors,” claiming that the Trump surname is the “most infringed brand in the world”.
