The Canadian carrier continues to optimize its southbound network by including destinations with high cultural and tourism value. According to Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat, this expansion allows the company to execute a strategy centered on network optimization for the direct benefit of its passengers.
New Routes and Frequencies Detail
The deployment of these operations will commence in December 2026, directly connecting Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport with the following destinations:
San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
- Launch Date: December 10, 2026.
- Frequency: 1 weekly flight.
Oranjestad, Aruba
- Launch Date: December 12, 2026.
- Frequency: 1 weekly flight.
Bridgetown, Barbados
- Launch Date: December 13, 2026.
- Frequency: 2 weekly flights.
With the addition of these three new routes, Air Transat is competitively positioned for the 2026-2027 winter season. By segmenting its offering with strategic weekly frequencies, the airline ensures efficient load factors while providing Montreal travelers with direct options to vibrant leisure destinations that combine sun, beach, and culture.
