Air Transat has announced an expansion of its flight schedule for the winter 2026-2027 season, incorporating direct routes from Montreal to Aruba, Barbados, and Los Cabos. This strategy seeks to diversify its portfolio in the sun destination market, responding to sustained demand within the Canadian market.

The Canadian carrier continues to optimize its southbound network by including destinations with high cultural and tourism value. According to Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat, this expansion allows the company to execute a strategy centered on network optimization for the direct benefit of its passengers.

New Routes and Frequencies Detail

The deployment of these operations will commence in December 2026, directly connecting Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport with the following destinations:

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico

  • Launch Date: December 10, 2026.
  • Frequency: 1 weekly flight.

With the addition of these three new routes, Air Transat is competitively positioned for the 2026-2027 winter season.
