American Airlines has announced plans to transform the passenger experience at Nashville International Airport through the creation of a new and expanded Admirals Club lounge. This facility, which will be located in the new Concourse A, aims to offer a luxury retreat that blends the airline’s hospitality with the vibrant spirit of Tennessee.

A State-of-the-Art Space

Spanning approximately 17,400 square feet, the new lounge will become the largest airline-operated club at Nashville International Airport. The project triples the size of the current space, allowing customers to relax, work, or recharge in a significantly more spacious environment prior to their flights.

Rhonda Crawford, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design and Strategy at American Airlines, emphasized that the design seeks to capture the “spirit of Nashville” while maintaining the service and comfort standards that travelers expect from the company.

Design Inspired by Tennessee Culture and Landscape

The lounge’s architectural concept prioritizes not only functionality but also a connection to the local environment. Key features include:

  • Panoramic Views: The lounge will offer sweeping views of the airfield.
  • Social Spaces: It will feature outdoor terraces and an indoor balcony overlooking the terminal—elements designed to evoke Nashville’s welcoming and social atmosphere.
  • The “Celebrity Guitar”: A distinctive feature of the club will be a guitar signed by artists and celebrities passing through the airport.
  • Community Impact: The instrument is subsequently donated to a selected non-profit organization by the lounge team to generate a positive community impact.

Construction Timeline and Service Continuity

Construction of this new space is estimated to begin in 2027. During the construction period, passengers can continue to use the current Admirals Club location situated in Concourse C, Level 4, ensuring uninterrupted access to the airline’s services.

This investment is part of a broader company strategy to modernize its national network of lounges, ensuring that each location reflects the unique character of the city it serves.

Access Options for Travelers

American Airlines offers several alternatives for AAdvantage members and other travelers to enjoy these premium facilities:

  • Membership and Status: Access is available through an annual Admirals Club membership or qualifying status within the oneworld alliance.
  • Credit Cards: Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard cardholders have included access, while Globe variant users can utilize their 24-hour passes.
  • Day Passes: Any customer can purchase a one-day pass for $79 or by redeeming 7,900 AAdvantage miles.

The airport authority, represented by Doug Kreulen, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, welcomed American Airlines’ long-term investment, noting that it will be fundamental in meeting the projected demand of over 40 million passengers over the next decade.
