Iberia Express Resumes Direct Flights Between Madrid and Reykjavik for Summer Season

Iberia Express has announced the restart of its seasonal operations to Reykjavik, Iceland, beginning next June. This reactivation aims to strengthen the airline’s international destination network from its primary hub at Madrid-Barajas Airport.

Operational Details and Frequencies

Iberia’s low-cost subsidiary will provide access to the Icelandic capital during the months of peak demand for nature and adventure tourism. The established schedule for this direct route is as follows:

  • Start of operations: June 6th.
  • Weekly frequency: Two flights per week.
  • Operating days: Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Iberia Express Commercial Director, Isabel Rodríguez, highlighted that Iceland is a high-value strategic destination for Spanish travelers, noting that the route allows passengers to discover the country at its “best time,” coinciding with the boreal summer.
