Avianca has announced a new direct route connecting Bogotá and Maracaibo, Venezuela, starting August 28. This strategic link strengthens the carrier’s presence in the Venezuelan market and expands international travel options within the region.
Operational Details and Capacity
The new service will operate on a daily frequency. To meet market demand, Avianca will deploy its Airbus A320 family aircraft, configured with a capacity of 180 seats.

Schedule
- Flight AV94 is scheduled to depart from El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá at 15:05, with an estimated arrival time in Maracaibo at 17:40 (local time).
- Flight AV95 will depart from La Chinita International Airport at 19:00, touching down in the Colombian capital at 19:25 (local time).
This new addition to Avianca’s network will complement the two daily flights the airline currently operates between Bogotá and Caracas. The primary objective of opening this market is to provide passengers from the state of Zulia with direct connectivity to the airline’s Bogotá hub. From there, travelers can connect to a global network spanning more than 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
