Brazilian carrier Azul will resume its seasonal flights between Belo Horizonte International Airport in Confins and the Caribbean island of Curaçao on July 1. This special operation aims to meet the significant surge in demand projected for the mid-year peak season.
Capacity Boost
For this 2026 holiday period, the airline has structured a comprehensive offering of 32 flights—across both legs—providing more than 5,500 seats through July 31.
Driven by high demand projections, Azul implemented special network planning adjustments to increase frequencies starting in the second week of the month.
Flight Schedule and Timings
Operations to the Caribbean will be deployed on Airbus A320 aircraft, configured to accommodate 174 passengers. The flight schedule will be split into two distinct phases during the month of July:
July 1 to July 8, 2026
During the first week of the month, the route will feature twice-weekly frequencies, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays.
- Belo Horizonte – Curaçao: Departing at 15:30 and scheduled to arrive at 20:40.
- Curaçao – Belo Horizonte: Departing at 22:20 and scheduled to touch down at 05:20 the following day in the Minas Gerais capital.

July 10 to July 31, 2026
Beginning July 10, the service will expand to four weekly frequencies, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while maintaining the same block times.
Consolidation of the Minas Gerais Hub
The optimization of this seasonal route underscores the strategic importance of the Minas Gerais terminal as one of Azul’s primary connection hubs, drawing passenger traffic from various regions across the country.
Beatriz Barbi, Senior Manager of Network Planning, Alliances, and Distribution at Azul, highlighted the significance of this connectivity:
“We have prepared a special operation for Curaçao and focused on optimizing this route to leverage the Minas Gerais airport… In doing so, we are able to expand connection options for customers wishing to fly to the Caribbean and experience the natural beauty of the destination.”
