Wingo Opens Ticket Sales for Flights Between Bogota and Porlamar, Margarita Island

Wingo, the low-cost carrier owned by Copa Holdings, has launched ticket sales for its charter flights between Bogota and Porlamar, Margarita Island, which will operate during the peak summer travel season of June and July 2026.

The new operation between Bogota and Santiago Marino Caribbean International Airport is designed to boost tourism and commercial traffic between Colombia and Margarita Island.

The route is scheduled to launch on June 27, 2026, operating on a once-weekly frequency.

Flight Schedules and Timings

  • Bogota – Porlamar: Departing Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. (local time) and touching down in Margarita at 2:01 a.m. on Sunday (local time).
  • Porlamar – Bogota: The return leg will depart Sundays at 3:14 a.m. (local time), arriving in the Colombian capital at 4:45 a.m. (local time).

Wingo will deploy Boeing 737-800 aircraft to service this route. These narrowbody jets feature a single-class configuration with a capacity to carry 186 passengers per leg.

New Scheduled Route: Bogota – Valencia

Alongside the charter flights to Margarita, Wingo will expand its scheduled network in the country starting July 14. The carrier is set to inaugurate a direct link between Bogota and the city of Valencia.

This new route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, injecting critical connectivity for the corporate and industrial sectors of Venezuela’s central region.

Consolidating the Colombia – Venezuela Market

With this announcement, Wingo reaffirms its position as a key operator in the region’s transborder market. Currently, the low-cost carrier maintains stable, scheduled operations in the country, including:

  • Caracas – Bogota: Operating on a daily frequency.
  • Caracas – Medellin: Operating on a three-times-weekly schedule.

The addition of Porlamar and Valencia to its route map not only diversifies the Copa Holdings subsidiary’s network portfolio but also expands international mobility options for travelers.
