Delta Air Lines announced Thursday the launch of the first nonstop route between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Starting March 27, 2027, the airline will become the sole carrier offering direct service between both cities.

This new intercontinental link will significantly strengthen Central Texas connectivity, providing direct access to the French capital as well as onward connections to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India, and Africa through its strategic alliance with Air France-KLM.

Seasonal Operations and Fleet

The Austin–Paris service will operate daily during the summer season. Delta will deploy its Airbus A330-900 aircraft on the route, featuring four service classes:

  • Delta One: Premium executive cabin featuring lie-flat seats, privacy doors, luxury bedding, and a chef-curated dining option with premium beverage selections.
  • Delta Premium Select: Premium economy featuring wider seats, increased legroom, and enhanced recline.
  • Delta Comfort+ and Delta Main Cabin: Cabins fitted with memory-foam cushioned seats and access to over 1,000 hours of in-flight entertainment.

Additionally, the belly-hold cargo capacity of the Airbus A330-900 will allow the airline to meet the growing demand for freight transport between both regions.

Strategic Alliance and Global Route Network

Through the joint venture agreement between Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic, Austin-originating passengers will gain access to a seamless connecting route network via Air France’s hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

At the peak of the summer season, the transatlantic alliance will offer up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe, combining the new Paris service with the existing link to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

“Austin’s growth continues to unlock new opportunities for customers, and Delta is proud to grow alongside the city. Launching Austin’s first nonstop service to Paris is a major milestone, but it’s just one part of our broader investment in the region,” said Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Delta Air Lines.

Delta Network Expansion at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

The addition of the Paris route forms part of a long-term expansion plan within the state of Texas. By summer 2027, Delta Air Lines projects to:

  • Serve approximately 30 destinations out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
  • Operate more than 70 daily departures during peak travel days.

With this operational boost, the carrier consolidates its presence in one of the fastest-growing corporate and demographic markets in the United States, enhancing its itinerary offerings across both domestic and transatlantic sectors.
